okay okay time to say goodbye to the year 2008... the year which i had traveled to over 5 countries 10 cities 4 freaking long projects 4 days of hot-pot in a roll and bah bah bah i don't even know what the hell i'm talking about now... anyway just hope the year 2009 would be a better year for me in education in career in health in finance in basically everything... woo hoo...

and wishes everyone have a wicked year too... x x x

Sean Connery for LOUIS VUITTON

Part of the long term running Cole Values Luggage campaign by Annie Leibovitz

i do love Louis Vuitton... except the fact that everyone carries one in the street (and when most of them are fake)... just looked at photos from the 2009 Spring/Summer collection (yes i only looked at it just now)... once again i was surprised and loved the collection... even said that i still think each individual pieces are amazingly nice but whoever did the styling managed to made them look horrible together... there's a bit of Japanese influence especially in the leather waist belt and a bit of the pure French romance in details... the person i've in mind would wear these would be Grace Jones for sure... ha ha...

and after the collaboration of Louis Vuitton and the American street artist Stephen Sprouse in 2001, the two teamed up again this month on the new collection of bags (of course) and even sneakers, sunglasses and some clothing too... don't even know rather it's a good thing or not... arr...

of course... Louis Vuitton won't be the only house in Paris with news... for the 125th anniversary of Coco Chanel... Karl Lagerfeld (who else?) has designed a special 5 Euro coin... which was chosen to match the house's No. 5 fragrance... the '5 Euro' coin comes in gold and silver... the gold version is limited to 99 pieces and it costs 5900 Euros... yes... 1180 times higher than the 'appeared' cost... arr... and the silver one is limited to 11900 pieces and cost 45 Euros... what the hell... (for your information the coin is now released)

look at uncle Karl with the tiny mini coin... (i think he's trying to look cute!! ha ha)

and after all those designer phones including Prada, Giorgio Armani, Vivienne Westwood, Dolce & Gabbana and most recently Christian Dior... now it has finally come to Chanel... the Coco Chanel Phone... i have to say it is actually a very very interesting phone... design-wise... as the screen is hidden under the keyboard when it's not using and the keys would only appear when it's in use too... although i think the design is very clever i still think it looks a bit weird... not in a good way... and if you're still waiting for a Louis Vuitton phone? it seems that it won't actually come to life in a period of time but the Tokyo company KDDI has released a LV-theme for their phones... only in Japanese tho...

and i think one of the biggest news in these few weeks after the H&M x CdG collection would be the new line of H&M... labeled H&M HOME... (and so you should know what is the line is about)... which actually looks very Ikea... and i wouldn't be suprise if H&M has teamed up with some designers to do collaboration collection for this line... who knows??????

H&M x COMME des GARCONS

PRIVATE VIEW SHOPPING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well... not really a CdG fan but i love H&M...

and i don't mind especially when i can shop 1 day before anyone else in this world could (got invited to the preview party today, official launch tomorrow)...

and i hate queuing for freaking sure (I DO NOT QUEUE!!!)...

ha ha ha ha ha (evil laugh)...

anyway will be off to the event soon... update again when i got back... x x x

[ E D I T ]

woo hoo... finished my shopping with H&M x COMME des GARCONS already...

yes... 15 freaking hours before anyone else in the world!!! hoo hoo...

the collection is basically much better then i thought... in material-wise and design-wise...

especially the lady's jacket with is a dress in the front with lots of details but a tux at the back...

what the hell... and all that for less than 200GBP... and it's CdG? gosh...

no wonder why some people went crazy in the private view...

to be honest if there are two pieces...

one original CdG and one H&M x CdG i would be more interested in the H&M x CdG one...

as i do love the idea of the crossover / cooperation of the two brands in kind of an extreme way...

exactly what Rei Kawakubo said...

the idea behind the LUXURY x HIGH STREET is what the collection is about...

so yes... don't tell me you can afford CdG so you're better...

because it doesn't work like that...

it's about the world of art and design after all...

not just money money money...

and... especially...

when i do not have to queue up first thing in the morning...

with a glass of champagne (and cocktail) in my hand while browsing...

that's what i call:

"SHOP WITH STYLE"

hell yea baby! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!

okay...

i sound just like a bitch!!! waw ka ka ka!!! x x x

. P A R I S   I S   B U R N I N G .

no... not really...

this is just a title of a 1990 documentary film directed by Jennie Livingston... filmed from the period of mid to late 1980s... a documentary about the transgendered and homosexual Black and Latino ball culture in the dark side of New York city... people especially in the somewhere in the lowest level of social level... when they have no place to stay, no money, no job, no respect and no family... but only left with a little bit of fantasy when they dress up as drag and professional such as lawyers and business men... when fantasy is all they've got left... and when everyone is beautiful in an extreme... a very well documented film and it does emotional gave me an impact especially in the social-side... which sure is a completely different story now... as the social-point-of-view are all different and ready to accept what was used to be 'unacceptable'... anyway do have a look if you're specially interested in social-culture, sub-culture, documentary, body dimorphic, social marginalize, racism, homophobia and poverty...

and some current and upcoming exhibitions in London that i'm interested in that i have to freaking get my ass to go...

Sir Peter Paul Rubens - details of a sketch for the ceiling of the Banqueting House, Whitehall ...

first of all Sir Peter Paul Rubens... the master famous for frescos... focusing on his sketch works on his art or else i call it 'design'... why no-one can do something like this now??? and the exhibition is FREE!!!

RUBENS: THE APOTHEOSIS OF JAMES I AND OTHER STUDIES /// Tate Britain /// 20th MAR 08 - 11th JAN 09

Richard Long - Small White Pebble Circles...

one of my favorite living artist... loved him since i saw his exhibition in Tate St. Ives... a future exhibition in Tate Britain focusing on his work under the theme of 'Heaven and Earth'... and for sure the material, piece, and scale itself won't be a disappointment...

RICHARD LONG: HEAVEN AND EARTH /// Tate Britain /// 3rd JUN 09 - 6th SEP 09

Cildo Meireles - Eureka / Blindhotland...

the Brazilian conceptual artist... not my cup of tea but by the scale of the installation i will go and have a look for sure...

CILDO MEIRELES /// Tate Modern /// 14th OCT 08 - 11th JAN 09

Andy Warhol - Self-Portrait...

a very different point-of-view on Warhol's work... based in is installation and sound work... should be a really really interesting exhibition...

ANDY WARHOL: OTHER VOICES, OTHER ROOMS /// The Hayward Gallery /// 7th OCT 08 - 18th JAN 09

and a few pieces of selected work from the artist Gary Hume... just because i'm currently doing research on him... there isn't an exhibition on his work...

Gary Hume - The Cleric, Francis, Adult, Young Woman

i don't even know why i bother to write about these stuff anyway... ha ha ha...
